August 1, 2006

Dear Future Traveler,

Orsak Adventures is pleased to announce the details of its FINAL TOUR in June 2007 to exploring the beautiful and enlightening Czech Republic.  This tour’s June departure provide the prospect to survey the brilliant foliage, explore eight of the eleven United Nations Educational , Scientific and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) heritage sites, and partake a multitude of culinary delights.
Our tour includes round-trip airfare from Dallas/Fort Worth or Houston, double room with private bath, average two full meals daily, motorcoach, much entertainment, and extras! Price for this 13-day tour will be determined after all hotel and airline agreements are established but is expected to be approximately $2,600 to $3,000 per person based on double occupancy. Single supplement and land only prices will be available.  Additional airfares from other US departures available. Your initial deposit check of $200.00 per person will not be deposited until 20 adventurers have joined the group at which time I will notify you of the continuation of the tour.

Orsak Adventures will discontinue tour services after the June 2007 Czech Republic tour.  I sincerely appreciate everyone who has taken the time to enjoy my tours the past twelve years.  During these years and tours I have made many friends who I will always cherish.  It has been a pleasure to bring the experiences of the Czech Republic into so many lives.  The time has come where I must direct more attention to my young family and their school activities.  Perhaps one day Orsak Adventures will resume with two young Orsaks to carry the luggage and fetch a pivo!  Na shledanou!!

CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be in writing to Tim Orsak, Orsak Adventures, 804 East Miller Street, Seymour, Tx 76380 {Ph # (940) 889 - 8466}. Full refund will be made for land portion of trip for cancellations received up to 90 days prior of departure (March 7, 2007) less a $100.00 administrative fee. After that period, cancellation fees are $100.00 administrative plus necessary costs charged by airlines and hotels involved. No full refund will be made for cancellations received less than 30 days (May 7, 2007) to departure. Airline tickets are not refundable after being ticketed (approximately April 1st), unless a written reason from your doctor of your illness is shown to the airlines. After completion of the tour, claims for refund must be in writing within 30 days.

INSURANCE: While flight insurance is being provided as part of your airline ticket, some of you have expressed interest in trip cancellation, luggage or medical insurance. Please contact us for a list of travel insurance companies.

GROUP SIZE: To pass along the best prices and savings to you, each group must have a minimum of 20 travelers. If less than the minimum number of travelers are interested in a tour by 100 days prior to the departure of a tour and if there is no further interest in the tour, Orsak Adventures reserves the right to cancel the tour. At which time a FULL refund of all paid deposits will be returned to the tour members. Deadline for June 8th departure will be March 1st.

RESPONSIBILITY: Tim Orsak, 804 East Miller Street, Seymour, Texas 76380 {Ph # (940) 889 - 8466}, and my agents act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels, sightseeing, transportation or any other service in connection with the itineraries of individual tour members who by acceptance, thereof, acknowledge that the sponsoring organization and/or its agents and suppliers shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to act or default of any hotel, carrier or other company or person providing or rendering of services included in the tour. Further, the sponsoring individuals and/or its agents accept no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, government restraints, wars (whether declared or not), riots, thefts, weather conditions, terrorist activity, defect in any vehicle or transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control. Tim Orsak reserves the right to cancel, change, and/or substitute any service and to decline to accept or retain any tour member at any time for any reason including insufficient number of participants. The sole responsibility of any airline used in any tour is limited to that set out in the passenger contract evidenced by the ticket. Airlines and other carriers are not responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances.

LUGGAGE: Each person traveling is allowed TWO pieces of luggage (50 lbs. each-NEW) for the trip plus everyone is allowed ONE piece of carry-on luggage (40 lbs.). Luggage service (bellhop) will be available at most hotels but you may have to transport your own at some time (through U. S. Customs). Definitely mark your luggage for easy identification. I will send neon green tags at a later date but any identification you provide will aid in locating your luggage. Please attach a card with your name, address & phone number to the interior of your luggage. Pack lightly as you are not expected to be in a fashion show. Take your personal items medication, a wash cloth; all are purchasable but more expensive. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR NAME ON EACH PIECE OF LUGGAGE!

PHYSICAL CONDITION: The Czech Republic is not a flat country! You must be able to walk at a comfortable pace. Some of the walking tours may cover a distance of two to three miles in a day with inclines and stairs. I would highly recommend that you develop your physical condition to be able to walk two miles and climb ten flights of stairs a day. Remember that most castles were built on the tops of hills and did not include elevators in their construction 300 years ago! But you are NOT required to participate in any or all activities on the tour; only those in which you are interested!!

TOUR PRICE: Final tour price is subject to change if the exchange rates between the US Dollar and foreign currencies involved in transactions fluctuate more than 5% from the rates established at initial bookings of hotels and airlines as of January 2, 2007.

SMOKING: As a policy of our tour, smoking will not be allowed on the tour bus, and anytime the group is together as a whole (meals, entertainment, interior tours, etc.). The Trans-Atlantic and U.S. based segments of the airline flights are also non-smoking by airline regulation. All hotel rooms will be requested as non-smoking unless specified otherwise. All bus trips will not exceed three hours in length between stops or breaks.

WARDROBE: Travel light. No need to purchase new clothes. It is early summer in Europe during our tour so expect a variety of weather conditions. As temperatures can vary between 70 to 90 degrees during the warm days to a cool 40 to 50 degrees in the evening, a variety of clothing is recommended. Shorts, short sleeve shirts, pants, long sleeve shirts, sweater, windbreaker, etc. The most important item you can bring is GOOD, COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES!! Cobble stone streets can be difficult and painful in ill fitting shoes.

Women: Suggest 1 or 2 dresses, 3 to 5 sets of outfits, one of which is a very nice dress outfit for an elegant evening/dinner.
Men: Suggest 4 to 5 sets of shirts and jeans or shorts. One suit or sports jacket for an elegant evening/dinner.
All: A money holder or money belt is highly suggested! One should never carry money, billfold, or anything of importance in the back pocket or where visible as tourists are known by pickpockets to carry a significant amount of money.
Laundry is available at all hotels though it can be expensive ($10 to $20).

CURRENCY / TRAVELER’S CHECKS / CASH: American currency is suggested. Credit Cards (MasterCard, VISA, and American Express) are becoming widely used in the larger cities and some smaller towns. Traveler’s Checks can be time consuming (up to 5 minutes for each person) as each must be verified at a large bank to authenticity and requires your passport.

FREQUENT FLYER MILES: As this will be a Trans-Atlantic tour, I highly recommend everyone to enroll in the Airline’s frequent flyer program. You will earn approximately 11,400 miles with a DFW departure to apply to a future free airline ticket.

The LANGUAGE: One does not need to be fluent, or even understand the Czech language to enjoy the beauty and history of the Czech Republic. Several individuals have expressed concern about their lack of the Czech language and their reluctance to join the tour because of this. PLEASE, PLEASE, do not worry about not knowing the Czech language. You will enjoy the tour! We will have an interpreter with us at all times.

Passports / Visas: A visa is not required to visit the Czech Republic. You MUST have a current passport to visit each country. If your passport is not current or you do not have a passport, please visit your local postoffice to obtain the necessary form to apply. As soon as you have a passport number, please send it to me!  Please allow 60 days to receive your passport.

If you have any other questions or comments, please contact Tim Orsak at (940) 889-8466.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Tim H. Orsak
